Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water (105-115 degrees)
1/3 c. + 1/2 t. sugar
1 c. milk, scalded and cooled to 110 degrees
1 t. salt
1/3 c. oil
4 - 5 c. flour
2 eggs, room temperature
Instructions
Dissolve yeast in a cup of water with 1/2 t. sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Combine 3 c. flour with remaining sugar and salt. At low speed, incorporate milk, oil, eggs, and yeast mixture until well blended.
Beat in additional flour (~1.5 c.) until dough pulls away from sides.
On floured surface, knead dough until smooth and elastic (8-10 min.)
Place dough in a greased bowl, turning to grease the top. Cover and let rise in warm, dry place until doubled in bulk (~1 hour).
Heat for up to another 10 minutes before removing from the heat. Once done, froth it again and serve.
